Wait nvm I got them confused with these, which I've tried before and do need a longer nail to get the cups to look right.

>Do you like your job?
Its alright. I'm lucky though and got in at a great salon. Some of my beauty school friends hate it and one has already quit and started on college again, even though she only graduated last November.
>Is it pretty good money?
That greatly depends on your area and your license. I think in my area it averages out to about $15-18 an hour for regular salon work, a bit higher if you do freelance (going to people's houses, usually older ladies want this). Without going into it too much, in most areas theres a basic hourly employee license, a semi-self-employed license where you make a percentage, and a completely self employed license and they all have pros and cons and different pay grades. Plus with all of these there are tips, often good, and most places won't make you put them on your taxes.
>Any advice or stories to share?
Just going to say things I noticed girls being startled by in school. You are probably not going to do much nail art at all. School is not going to teach you any. My school didn't even teach me how to do a nice french tip. 99% of what you're going to learn is going to be about acrylics and gel enhancements. Do not bank on being good at nail art, or knowing how to do the new trends. You will also probably be working every Thurs/Fri/Sat. The good side of it is, unlike other beauty work, you won't be on your feet for 8-10 hours (I also did hairdressing and esthetics). Also double check your state laws because some have a separate nail tech license and some do not.

Also, you are going to touch some really gross feet and talk to some really gross people. Even if you are lucky and are in one of the states that specifically outlaws working on fungus, you are still going to end up with a fungus foot in your face because people are assholes. You are also going to deal with insane bitches who will treat you like dirt because you are in a service industry.
