My boyfriend is fucking up cosplay for me. We're both into the hobby but he's in a lot deeper than me despite the 4+ years experience I have on him. It's gotten to a point where he's up in my business constantly, and not just with helpful comments; criticisms, nit picking, fabric choices, ebay links to wigs he thinks I need to get. If I have a different option in mind he makes a point to make me feel like I'm being the biggest idiot in the world by not listening to his opinion. It's like he think's he's the director of MY cosplay-- he plans the whole thing out and lectures me on how do every aspect. He takes my patterns away while I'm working on them and repatterns them himself. And honestly it would be one thing if he wanted to just dress me up like a doll or whatever but I'm doing all of the stitching and paying for all of the materials. Look even if I suck at it, just let me enjoy my shit.

Yes I've told him to fuck off several times and no I don't always buy/do what he suggests. His constant hovering and "suggestions" in the name of me "doing better" is seriously wearing me thin though, I don't spend all this time and energy just to be like "I sewed this together but that's it."
