Dag/bel tend to have rules strictly against SCA helms, as they are too heavy from what I am told.

And most armorers take commissions. Got a pic of the style you want? In general, most SCA helms are either fixed grills, closed faces or hinged faces/grills, as you don't want something that can come off when several hundred people with rattan batons want to beat you.
