my psychotic X chromosome donor threw out a lot of my stuff and persuaded me a doll in the house was possessed and we needed to pray over it. why not throw it out like all the books and movies with magic (that were all evil, including Narnia)? because it was a gift from Grandma and Grandma's feelings actually mattered.

any toy rumored by our church to be evil (Cabbage Patch kids, Trolls, Magic 8 Balls) went into the garbage. but the doll that she told me had an actual demon inside of it stood out in the open until she decided it was pure.

had nightmares about that doll for years into adulthood. now i wear gothic lolita and i am well aware of the connection. spooky doll for life.
