Mine's not really a horror story but it was a pretty bad experience for me.
>family vacation in San francisco
>hotel is close to Angelic Pretty store
>really wanted to get into lolita but never knew where to start
>go in with my mom
>she insists she gets me something because it would be "good to see me wear something nice for once"
>store clerk is really sweet
>she gets a skirt/petticoat for me to try on
>come out of dressing room
>i look like a sad cupcake
>mom cant stop laughing
>"oh my god that is so not your style!"
>trying not to cry
>store clerk asks if i want to try something else
>tell her no it's ok
>we leave with nothing
>mom goes on about how "it's so weird how they dress like kids, are their husbands pedos?"
>just wanted to look cute for once
>still feel bad about it today
