Yess I miss this! I have an appreciation for good makeup, but so much of it feels overdone. If your eyeshadow doesn't match your dress you might as well go home.
I know it's not quite that bad, but there really is a lot of pressure. I've always kept my makeup to a little foundation, powder to set, light blush, mascara + eyeliner, light lip tint, and even then I feel underpainted or boring.

sigh.
