My mom is very traditional with clothes. Not exactly a prude, but anything out of the norm she thinks is weird and disturbing. She seems fine with conventions though. She drove me to a convention when I was in highschool while I was wearing a freaking unicorn horn and a purple wig. However when I show her pictures of toned down lolita she says it's "over the top". I just want to scream that that is the point.
