>Making cosplay for the first time in my life
>I'm just so excited, I literally thought this was impossible for someone like me to do
>I only know how to basically use a sewing machine, like a basic "how to use a sewing machine" video on YouTube
>buy a bunch of cool fabrics like this nice embroideried white one, pleather, and this silk stuff
>this shit is all super hard for me to use
>build and destroy my costume so many times
>build destroy
>build- "hey this looks pretty good!"
>destroy because wrong measurements
>feel like I've made this piece a gazillion times, and it's only a crop top. I still need to make the arm sleeves, skirt, shoe covers and thigh highs
>have to take breaks sometimes and just walk away
>finally somewhat get the piece I'm working on to look okay, still gotta see some parts down and add some buttons but really proud of myself
>have no cosplay friends or friends that would understand how much work I've put into this thing
>cgl doesn't even have a work and progress thread up right now, in fact I rarely even see threads about people making their own costumes really

Feels a little bad but only a little because I'm still excited even though I have a long way to go with this costume.

>I know nothing about sewing machines, she's real excited saying she couldn't figure it out so that's why she was selling it
>she shows me it in its box and some of the stuff it comes with, again I know nothing and I just think "yep this is a sewing machine"
>everything looks good I hand her the money and ask her to make sure it's all there
>she counts it, then hands some of it back to me and says "Here."
>immediately think "huh?? Did I over count??"
>"it's okay!" She says, I'm confused but she starts to close the trunk like everything's good
>I freak out and try to hand her the money back asking her to take it
>she says "No, I already took a little. I can't take money from a little baby like you!!"
>I'm almost speechless
>"and you're in the military!"
>I urge her to atleast take another twenty so she could atleast get $40 for this good condition machine.
>she politely rejects, I thank her a lot and tell her how much I appreciated this and I'm so thankful
>head to my car and wave good bye and the husband thanks me for my service and they drive away
>can't believe what just happened.

I spent $20 on a new sewing machine today, and I'll keep this machine forever. This is one of the nicest things someone has done for me.
Now I definitely can't give up on this cosplay no matter how much I want to.
And man I feel like tomorrow when I try it out I will definitely want to.

Because I just got out of bed and I sleep topless with shorts on. It's easier to snap a pic real quick with the main stuff I wanted to show rather than stop and find a bra and then a shirt. So I went back to bed and scribbled it out, because my bed is comfy.
You getting a little too salty for no reason, anon.
But if you think people get off to giant sensor bars like you're implying, then oh well not my problem. Nor my concern
