Europeans ask for parcel markdowns not only to pay less taxes, but also because they simply don't want to deal with customs shit such as waiting way too fucking long until the postal service decides to release it from customs. I agree with you! I've also seen a bit of a decline in quality...? No custom lace, prints that repeat way too much with little variation (Milky Swan is the WORST for this), less removable pieces (like chiffon overlays that obstruct the print entirely and can't be taken off), etc.
