my boyfriend and his buds want to do a group cosplay of villains of megaman. since the female choices are pretty low i thought this one was cute

since it's gunna be for a day and not something im super invested in (im just going to be cutting and sewing old things in my closet) i wanted to get a cheap wig. I can find long black wigs for super cheap but i have no idea if they can be styled like pigtails?

most short wigs i see with clip in pony tails run $30+ where the plain long wigs are like $10. so is it possible to style long wigs into pigtails or will it look completely terrible?
