As a short-term solution, you could always get padded underwear. I have a pair of shorts from underworks that compress/pad the hips and butt, but they are kind of a pain in the ass to put on and take off. There is a pee flap, though, so I guess they wouldn't be too bad to wear for a day or so as a dude.
