internet fame was a thing, it was just insular and confined within the community. nowadays people like lovelylor, their viewership is mostly nonlolitas and newbie lolitas. but there were popular lolitas within the livejournal community.

the portland community, mintymix, shelbycloud, their daily lolita posts regularly would get 100+ comments
