/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I bought stretch pleather for my LeBlanc leotard, but for some reason my sewing machine won't sew through it anymore. I've tried replacing the needle and the bobbin, and rethreading the whole thing and it still won't work. It sews just fine with other materials but the thread won't hold in the stretch pleather. Any ideas? I'm thinking about getting bias tape or something (since all i have to do is hem it) but I'd rather just hem the pleather as is. HALP PLS CON IN 3 DAYS (here's a picture of a cat for the help)
