I was browsing through archives and stumbled upon re-ri's old blog. There's a section with her thoughts about the fashion - I found it curious how even in 2001 lolitas were apprehensive about the title and avoided saying it out loud. Kind of dispels the myth that westerners were the only ones who ever had a problem with the fashion's name.
