I don't get all the hate for twintails. There's only a few anons who brought it up in this thread, but in general I've seen it sneered at on /cgl/.
People associate OTK+short skirt with wearing a catholic school girl fetish costume and it sounds like the consensus here is "fuck them, wear your socks." Why the turn around with pigtails? It's literally the same thing, with people assuming that you're doing a school girl fetish thing.
I like pigtails since you can still have your hair down but it's out of your face. The lift of the tails also add a lot of volume and body to your hair, especially if you curl it.
