I did a cosplay of a lolita character, and i approached it from a costuming angle instead of treating it like an actual lolita outfit, so now i'm furious everytime i have to go back and fix something because i made my own life harder. Also I regret the fabric choice but i couldn't find anything better

Literally nothing. Why would you buy this. Back to the factory with this. It doesn't even look like it was finished.Gaping at the chest with a high collar looks sloppy. And that handtowel isn't even cute. People talk about slapping a logo on basic shit and calling it good, but i didn't think we were this far into it.

A lot of the times it's just not funny. Exposing bloomers and scrunching up your face aren't funny. They might have been at some point but now it's overplayed and boring.

At a convention? Yes. From the staff? No.
People are people where ever you go so there's gonna be a couple assholes mixed in with the lot. Staff generally is too well curated at my conventions for anything like that to be a problem.
This dude was obviously just salt because he wanted to go shirtless.

Any advice on how to spark life into a dying comm? Are more meet-ups the way to go? Or is there any better way to do it? Is it better to give up?

My comm is dying big time and I'm at a loss on how to make it at least a bit more lively again
