Also, secondhand is your friend if you want the real deal. Since you are new, I'd say buy one main piece, then purchase your other elements like blouses and legwear. Good beginner tip is to match your lace, color and type. Don't buy a blouse with eyelet lace trim if your dress has heavy torchon or cluny details. Start small and focus on building that first coord with your first main piece. Then go from there.
