/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I just found out I'm going. It just sort of happened. Now, normally I'm cool with that sort of thing, but I'm all sorts of unhappy since I won't have a cosplay. (All of mine are in a storage shed across the states waiting for the military to finish moving it.)

HUZZAH! I has idea. The people I'm going with are part of a grand cosplay for Tenchi Muyo. They literally have all the main cast but Ayeka and Sasami....except....Azaka and Kamidake!

I decided to pick Kamidake, since he's the chill one, and I sort of have an idea:

Three hoola hoops, connected with wire then attached to shoulderpads. Look ma, no hands! Then as a thick non see through fabric, felt. Hot as shit, I know, but I'm small enough inside that I will have air, and it's still early enough to be chilly out. The feet will be painted cans, and I can paint the wood relief and Juraian symbols on with either sharpie paint or fabric paint. I plain to velcro along the line at the front, for easy access to tables etc. And since it is fabric, it'll fit!

I've been deployed for a few years, so the idea might seem hairbrained and stupid. If there's anyone that can offer assistance or advice?
