im a 25yo male and just watched k-on and loved yui as i can identify with her a lot in derpeness and just in general life choices. with a small cosplay event coming up i seen outfits on ebay and was thinking it might be fun to try and cross play as yui.

my question is how do you get the other half on board, i joked about it the other week to gauge a reaction and she did not seem keen on the idea, probably does not help that shes not a fan of anime or k-on in general

feel this may be a good place to ask, what would be the best way to get the other half on board with crossplaying?

im a 25 year old guy and i recently just watched k-on and quite enjoyed it. probably the main highlight was yui as her derpeness and just in general attitude really reminds me of myself. with a small convention happening in a few months nearby i want to give a crack at going as yui.

i know there is genderbending but im not a fan of it honestly and i also think it could be some good fun just dressing up and throwing on some make up for a day.

i mentioned id seen on ebay costumes for yui and maybe i could try it jokingly a few days ago but she didnt seem to hot on the idea of me dressing up as a teenage girl,shes also not the biggest fan that i enjoyed the show and finds it a little weird which i can agree with as i myself find it a little weird.

so thanks for reading, sorry to drift off a little but any tips on broaching and getting her on board as ill need someone to do my makeup :P
