Wait..wut. Comparing something you have no control over to something you can control..what the hell.

You see, people are into cosplay for different reasons. Some take it seriously, some don't. Fun is subjective. We're all supposed to get along yet we all have different opinions and then we get belittled for having different opinion. Cosplay is personal for alot of people since, in a way, you're bringing a character to life. People have attachments/connections to these characters for their own reasons. When you walk around as said character people are going to judge it. It's not like this is halloween and you're just some slutty ketchup bottle walking around. There's a reason people get upset when they see something like pic related. As long as the cosplayer is happy, though, that's what counts. I'm only super frustrated with those who put next to no effort into their outfit and are upset their friend is getting all the photos. They walk around the con touting that they're just "in it for fun" but yet complain about getting no pics.
