Thanks! And yes fabric layering. The base dress is green sequined velvet with a sheer black studded overlay, and the lining is sequined green chiffon.

It was a lovely execution, especially compared against the other two LED-light dresses I'd seen that looked like bags of fireflies. Tiny obsessive details like the constellations make my Homestuck heart pitter so happily.

The construction is coming along very nicely, but if you redo the beads, try either larger beads (with smaller spacer beads) or an off-white colour that'll leave less a glaring contrast against the black?
