The Catgirl

They aren’t necessarily just CATGIRLS, per ce. This includes Angel Girls, Winged Girls, Girls Who Wear Unnecessary Extra Appendages/Ears/Whatever To Draw Attention To Themselves and Look CUUUUTE.

The catgirl is not nearly as cute as she thinks she is, even if she’s a teenage girl, which is the only excuse for attempting the catgirl stereotype. Catgirls over the age of 17 are just creepy, like they are desperately trying to prove that they are younger than they actually are, in hopes of attracting… what? A pedobear? Some perverted guy who is 30+ looking for a girl half his age? Lets be realistic here.

Generally, cat girls alter their natural speech patterns as well as wear wings/ears/tails/whatever. They generally make their voices more high-pitched and “childlike”, and often throw in bits and pieces of misprounounced words from other languages, often (but not always) Japanese. Or worse, they use baby-talk. If the high-pitched girly-child tone doesn’t make you want to stab them repeatedly in the face with a spork, the gibberish they attempt to use definitely will.

They act as cutesy as possible, generally wearing tight shirts (and by tight, I mean two sizes too small), fluffy skirts, Mary Jane shoes, and generally trying to be the nerd version of the 30 year old woman dressing like a Catholic School Girl to spice up her sex life.

My verdict: Sad, immature, depressing, stupid, and PLEASE go actually study the language you’re trying to butcher before you use it.
