It is not difficult at all to find non-floral venetian, cluny, knit, bobbin, embroidered, beaded, crochet, needle, or cutout lace. Period. Geometric and abstract designs are not in any way uncommon.

If you need a specific motif that isn't machine made yet, you can commission a lacemaker or learn to make it yourself. Otherwise, there are a thousand other ways to trim a lolita dress without losing the aesthetic.
