/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Unpopular opinion time, but I think Alice in Wonderland-themed anything is just so unnecessary and overdone...I hate seeing coords/character designs/anything inspired by it because it feels so exhausted and tryhard...even before hipsters started worshipping it, I hated seeing things that were Alice in Wonderland themed in terms of visual arts because they were usually either really cookie-cutter and bland, or they were really unique and awesome which makes me feel like the theme is just a crutch to lean on for popularity and more widespread appeal. I understand that some people probably actually really do like the books and/or movies and want to tip their tiny little top hat...but goddamn.
