Like I posted in the /tg/ thread, my favourite material for shields is 4mm thick ABS plastic with 10mm foam on the flat and the edges, then covered with canvas. I made this one to showcase that a padded-edge shield doesn't neccessarily have to look like someone wrapped a huge sausage around a sheet of plywood (which actually happens most often when people do padded shields)

also it's always fun to paint butchered-latin mottos on your stuff
