What do you mean? If it's about showmanship skills it's still relevant at least, if not... well, dumb rumors of sexual favors always pop up in similar situations and there's never any basis for them except for the pettiness of whoever came up with them. Still, there is something weird going on: iirc, the first time Mogu went to WCS it was bc one of the two girls originally selected dropped out (it was the year the Fukushima accident happened and she was afraid of nuclear radiations lol), but it was never clear why exactly they picked her. As for Nadia, I've been going to cons for ten years and she's always been there, being a guest at cons, cosplaying to advertise comics and going to the WCS. She's a pro on top of it all so I don't get how she's still allowed in. Now the thing is, is it that no other decent people show up at selections so the judges have no choice, or what? From what I remember of all the times I've attended Romics (and the times I haven't, I've watched the masquerade online), the level's pretty high, probably the best out of all big cons in Italy, so why? How?

I've always wanted to give the preliminaries a shot myself but I've had people flake out on me for three years and I don't know anyone with the dedication for it and there's no way I can ask my gf.
