So I got some questions regarding boot making/bootcovers

>Where can I get cheapo new shoes that I won't feel guilty about ruining with a boot cover?

>Are there any good tutorials out there for making shoes from scratch?

>When doing a shoe cover/wrap, how do I ensure that I get no airbubbles/wrinkles? Is there a specific technique? Are there specific fabrics/materials that work better? Perhaps something I could heat and let it mold to the shape of the shoe?
