Crossplay-anon here!

Is the contouring and highlighting actually necessary? I tried it on today (horribly, I might add) and honestly, I felt more like a drag queen than an anime character.

In the picture, Kotori only seems to have eye make up, pale foundation, and blush. My friend, who is a drag queen, also said the same thing and mentioned nothing about contouring or highlighting. I know its a cartoon but still...Is there even a point for a human to put it on?
