It was. I called the Embassy and asked could I use a Takoyaki maker in my room (the same as picture related,) and they kindly told me no. I forgot the specific reason why.

People do still bring rice cookers and things in their hotel room but yes it's against policy at the hotel here in O'hare/Rosemount and they can kick you out if you are caught with it.

Nah it's cheaper to just make my own. I can buy the mix and the whole thing for less than $10 and make a batch.
