Seems to be a sallet with a split close helm visor to my eyes (notice that the top part of the eyehole is a seperate sheet to the rest of the helmet, I suspect also articulated on the same joint), given the lack of an integrated bevor and the presumably articulated neck plates. Top ridge suggests Italian, German sallets just being round and English sallets having a conical point (pic related, hardly see any english sallets).
