Can get away with these while I'm in my early-mid 20s and still sometimes get mistaken for a teen, but as soon as I age enough to look disturbingly like an older woman dressing like a kid I'll probably stop wearing them. Could start wearing again once you're elderly enough for it to just seem eccentric.

Gonna keep wearing as long as I'm not in a job where wearing old-fashioned girly clothes (even in my off-time) could impact my professional reputation. Even then I'd hope that any field like that would pay enough for me to be able to go on nice vacations where I could wear lolita without worrying about bumping into my colleagues, so I guess I'll wear it until I lose interest or just can't be bothered with the effort to dress up.

Pretty much the same as above except that I could also wear it just to goth clubs (not as weekend wear) and be even less worried about anyone who sees me thinking it's "unprofessional" since nobody in those kind of places would care. I would transition to more mature cuts and less edgy/sexy looks as I got older though.

This isn't advice I'd give to someone in my comm who really really loved sweet though, part of the reason I'm OK with ditching cutesy styles as I get older is that they aren't my main passion. I think very OTT pastel sweet looks more alternative therefore less weird on a woman in her thirties or above than some coords that get called "toned-down" but look like old-fashioned childrens clothes.
