I have my own "fake" clotted cream recipe that I like more because its richer, tarter, and sweeter // doesn't involve scalding milk forever.

Let half a block of cream cheese sit out until room temp. Whip with mixer to be fluffy. Add vanilla extract or even almond! Pour heavy cream slowly and keep mixing until fluffy, nicely whipped. Try not to over whip or it becomes buttery and more heavy. If you want it to be a little sweet, powdered sugar is a neutral add, but I love honey. If you have a sweet jam though its usually not necessary.

Its also really good on pancakes with blueberries.
