Well I have some reasons to prefer the JSK over the OP:
1. The JSK is way more versatile. You can achieve more looks with different blouses and you have shirring so that it fits more sizes. The OP which often only pops up in M is not at all forgiving.
2. While the sleeves are cute, the OP gives less mobility. You have two buttons on the sleeves, but even with the second button I couldn't really move as I wanted or rise my arms. I wasn't even fat, but I felt like a stuffed toy.
3. I feel the JSK is more detailed and balanced. If you look at the waist line the JSK has a cute chiffon bow, the OP has nothing. It looks too empty to me.
4. Again, more details on the JSK. The bib on the JSK has little pearls sewn onto it, the OP doesn't.

I only discovered my love for the JSK after I held it in my hands. I just like it better.
