This popped up in another thread, and is very appropriate here.

Fashion IS costume, that's all there is to it. If you want to wear something easy and cute, then sure, great, but there's much more out there than a thin scope of "casual and cute daily wear!"

Look at any Alexander McQueen show and try and say that that isn't fashion because it's too costumey; it's all the same fucking thing.
