Happened a few months ago.

>took my boyfriend to his first anime convention
>I was cosplaying Maki Natsuo from Love Lab, an anime with mostly a male fanbase
>random guys would come up to me and ask for my picture, all respectful and nice, although some were rather ugly
>bf didn't like that
>started to complain about it
>I tried to explain this was normal
>we stop arguing for a bit and some random guy comes up to me and asks for a picture
>he lashes out on the guy after he takes the picture, tells him I'm taken and that a weird piece of shit like him wouldn't have a chance with me, tells him to delete the picture or else he'd beat him
>the guy looks scared since my boyfriend is 6'4" and muscular
>he goes away and I start crying
>we leave
>bf keeps telling me I shouldn't attend cons and should hang out with him and his friends instead
>havent gone to a con ever since
