As long as you shop it well, it's fine. Make sure to avoid making your skin completely greyscale, because it looks unnatural and weird. I usually just make a layer over my photo, paint in the skin areas white, and set the layer to 'hue' with a 80% opacity. It makes it your skin look grey, but natural.

The top image in pic related is completely greyscale, while the bottom is my method. See how the bottom looks more natural, and more like it's body paint and not shoop?

If 80% opacity looks too skin colored, just set it a few degrees higher.
