The silhouette can generally be anything as long as it is loose or ill-fitting. It can be sack like, with a worn out sweater dress that started out as a sweater now long enough to cover your cheeks. Some flare can be added in the form of chip dust smeared all over your body, or weird little kawaii thing you found on ebay and stuck in your hair because what the fuck else are you going to do with it. There are few strict rules to depression kei, just as long as you look like you don’t give a shit wnough about yourself to look decent, but are decorated with cute things, showing that you still hold onto a glimmer of hope that you will be a better person some day.
