/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I was into cosplay at the time and also going through an intensive breakup. To get my mind off of things I started reading more and more 4chan and /cgl/ was a pretty obvious choice of boards. I guess I had known about lolita a little longer, but while in the aforementioned relationship the idea of exploring a hobby just for me was unthinkable. When I started spending more time on this board, the oldschool thread kept catching my eye. This was the time when the oldschool thread was still comfy, not a lot of people wore the style and there wasn't much drama. People would still post links to cool yahoo auctions and the like. I fell in love with a meta OP and found out through the board how to use a shopping service. I still own the piece to this day and it remains a favourite in my wardrobe.
Weirdly sappy, but I feel like I owe a lot of the person I am today to /cgl/
