Pt. II

Yes, there ARE exercises out there that are definitely much more effective at targeting the abs than simply squatting and deadlifting. The reason I did not want to include these is because squatting and deadlifting, are, by nature, very "efficient" lifts. They target multiple muscle groups at once using only one exercise, which promotes uniform muscle development, and it also has the added benefit of promoting good posture as well.

But if you want six packs "right fucking NOW," then there are multiple exercises that engage the abdominal muscles directly and effectively, which can lead to much quicker results.

1.
>Weighted sit-ups
>Grab a heavy weight and do sit-ups with them
>The weight has to actually be heavy
>Like, by the tenth sit up, you shouldn't even be able to finish it
>You can do this workout on a sloping bench to take your situps to the next level
>Do 5 sets of 10 repetitions

2.
>Cable crunches
>Go to the cable machine
>Set the pin so that you'll get a lot of resistance
>Get on your knees while holding the rungs or handles on the cables
>Slowly crunch your stomach downward, as if you were dying of exposure
>Do 5 sets of 10
>See pic related for more information

3.
>Planks
>Won't "develop" ab muscles as much, but it will definitely make them harder; more solid. Very important when it comes to a good core
>Lie down flat on your stomach
>Support the rest of your body by propping yourself up on your forearms
>Your forearms should be parallel
>Fist should be under where your head should be and elbow should be under pectoral area
>Keep body rigged, as if you were doing a pushup
>Tighten your stomach and hold it that way
>Do 5 sets of 30 seconds
>Each week, add on 30 additional seconds

Do a lot of these. Make sure to do SOME type of ab exercise once every day, as it is possible to "lose gains" if you're too lackadaisical about it.
