i would say you really need to get to platinum first. if you stop before then, you will be a yellowish blonde if not straight up orange. this will not go well when you try to get the purplish color in the pictures.

i wanted something ashy like the picture. i tried to get there when my hair was yellow-blonde. doesn't work. pic - my hair now
