My fiancee bought that when it was out at a book store on clearance for a few dollars. He just likes mechs that much.

I have this one and some of the How to draw manga book series. Some of the drawings were OK and the stuff on how to draw hands, backgrounds, properly height your characters etc was pretty useful.

Seems like these Art of Drawing manga books had variant covers? There's one where this girl is in a white jacket, black tank top and holding a gun.

Oh hey here it is. This one had some okay-looking art but also included a hilariously over-the-top character who had a super-short skirt, high heels, and enormous balloon tits in a midriff-baring shirt with a giant barcode on the front. There are scans on tumblr it seems.
