Do any of the pieces come off? The apron or the waist bow, for eg? If it does, you could put a bolero over it and get a very different look out of it.

Otherwise I'm not seeing many options other than a pretty basic coord. The dress is too busy to do too much without it looking like a clusterfuck.

Easiest way to highlight/continue the gradient is to get tights that continue the gradient, and then end with white or black shoes. You probably want to balance out the top with a white blouse or bolero, though. Having black on top and lighter colours at the bottom tends to look a bit odd.
