Loose glitters and powders are the best for resin because they generally won't fuck with the curing time or process. I use loose nail glitter for most of my pieces because you can get it really cheap from ebay/aliexpress/taobao.
The water in glue will almost certainly mess with the curing but if you're dead set on using glitter glue, you could apply it in the way I've described in this shitty diagram by using it as a background. I suggested UV resin for doming the back because you can cure it really fast before the glitter glue tries to dissolve in it
