Oh yes, basically everything you would expect attention wise from a girl wearing a skimpy outfit but then 10x worse since women will actually touch whereas *most* male harassment stays in the staring/inappropriate comment range. Also, having a bf next to you will normally scare some guys off. I had my gf with me pretty much the entire time and they just did not care at all

Going shirtless as a built male with visible and pronounced abs at a con basically sets off an alarm and every hamplanet within a 100 foot radius will roll themselves over and put their hands all over you, and then deafen you with squees before you can protest.

It's really just a terrible experience, especially if you're someone who doesn't like people getting overly close in the first place. I learned my lesson though, and I only cosplay as characters with several layers of clothing or armor nowadays
