Does anyone have any experiences with Ebay returns (and Ebay stepping in)?

There's this lace sunhat design that I've been wanting, with the base hat itself varying in quality. The best base hat of which has two different sizes, and the listing I ordered from showed pictures of the adult size when you choose the individual colosr. I was sent the kids size.

Of course the pictures used in the listing are inaccurate, and stuff like measurements could be considered unclear (I thought the head circumference size meant the hat diameter, hence the ruler;;), but I didn't notice it was filed under the Girls' Accessories category. Should I keep trying to deal with the seller or let Ebay work with it?
