I didn't think I had the patience either, but I've been in a very zen mood lately. It only took about two and a half hours, and I did over the span of three days. The easiest way to do it was in chunks. Separate it into three strands, and starting from the bottom, detangle and flat iron about 1/4 of it. Then detangle and flat iron the next 1/4 of it until you get to the top! It's much easier to detangle once it's flat ironed, but you don't want to iron the tangles in.
