Sarcasm aside, it's not mean. Blaming women for not wanting to be bothered by someone too afraid to even try is bullshit. Too many guys get egotistical about this stuff, and just blame women for things they ultimately should have control over. I can't control what a single woman likes. I can only appeal to her interests and hope I don't fuck up. Most women seem to like confidence, so I think good advice is to try to find a little of it.
