Ymir is a name from Norse mythology, but she looked Eastern or Southern European to me. She was definitely not as actually dark-skinned as some fanartists make her out to be.

That said, Tumblr fanartists have the weird tendency to make the SNK cast more "ethnically diverse" than it already is; the original manga art and the anime art never portrays the main squadron as black or even intensely tan, but Tumblr fanartists tend to make Hange, Ymir, Bertholt, and Sasha so dark that they often look of Indian or African descent. Yes, their skin tones do vary, which gives a nice unique look to each character and keeps the cast from being as homogeneous as lots of typical anime, but they're not THAT dark! Artistic license is a thing, but half the time I can't even tell who the character is because of the color the fanartists use for them.

And let's not even start on the many Tumblr fandom denizens who insist that Hange is transgender, when the official translation certainly states that she's a girl, just because Isayama Hajime trolled a fan on twitter asking for Hange's gender.

The thigh ones not being elastic shouldn't be a problem, tighten them up and just be mindful when you move. You may want to invest in some tighter pants as well.

If you plan on keeping your jacket on, I say fuck it when it comes to bothering with sleeve length- you're probably better off being more comfortable than accurate in areas that no one will see.


On a side note, if I did do a miniature Bert of Ymir, would I cause too much butthurt?

It doesn't make sense on Eren, but Levi is 5'3" and 143 lbs so he's gotta be pretty damn dense. Have you seen the shit they have to do though? They have to have crazy strength to hold themselves upright and maneuver in the 3DMG. I'm saying that both from the source and just from understanding physics.

Rivaille is supposed to be noticeably short (keep in mind he's one of the older characters) so you should go for him then.
