I really want to cosplay from Maria-sama ga Miteru but without a partner you'll just be another weeb wearing a seifuku and wig for fashion to the vast majority of people. All the characters with elaborate floor length poofy dresses too. I want to make them myself and don't want to use shit material, but that's a lot of money for a hobby I just do by myself. Maybe if I had friends that were into it'd seem more worth it. As it is I'd rather spend it burando or other hobbies.

The only time I've ever been tempted to cosplay from something I'm not into were eroges and I really want to avoid that for obvious reasons. I don't even want to cosplay Kuroneko because of that, much less characters from eroges I actually have read and like. Seriously though why are eroge characters so much cuter on average? The ones that aren't half naked that is.
