I'm not really a huge fan of plastic and foam armor, but I have seen it done well. That said, if it is a highly physical combat system, then it does lead to an unfair advantage. If it's more abstract, then it's not as much of a problem.

Also, an important thing to consider when people advocate for inclusivity for all disabilities, is that people with disabilities know their limits, and live with them everyday. Bleeding heart busy bodies are the ones that are advocating for things that they don't want or need.

By replacing the mainspring with a commercially available AR return spring cut in half. It required a bit of doing, but it's not a real hardship. Pic related.
